In 2020, the average FEVS score for employee engagement (72) and overall satisfaction (69) amongst Federal employees increased by 4 points from the 2019 FEVS scores; accounting for the largest one-year score increase in the Federal Government within the last 10 years. However, despite Agency Leader’s efforts, both scores have continued to decrease from 2020 to 2022. Moreover, employees average “Leaders Lead” score decreased by 3 points, from 62 to 59, and the “Job Satisfaction” score decreased by 6 points from 72 to 66, the lowest score amongst federal employees within the last five years. Both engagement and job satisfaction contribute to performance within an organization with decreasing scores leading to increased turnover and decreased productivity. This training will provide leaders with insights on how to meet the needs of their workforce by teaching specific factors that influence satisfaction and engagement, methods to measure these factors to identify problem areas, and strategies to predict future issues and performance.
